Fun Community Events this Weekend in Prescott!

There is always something fun to do in Prescott! And, this upcoming weekend is no exception! Kick off the start of summer at one of these fantastic community events occurring this Saturday and Sunday in Prescott!

 

 

Grand Opening of the James Family Discovery Gardens

Date: Saturday, June 3rd

Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Highlands Center for Natural History (1375 South Walker Road)

Get up close and personal with nature at the incredible, new James Family Discovery Gardens. Explore the Central Arizona highlands at this unique native botanical garden. With interactive exhibits, demonstration gardens, Forest Play Area, nature programs, and outdoor event venue, this addition to the Highlands Center for Natural History is truly exciting.

 

 

Woof Down Lunch

Date: Saturday, June 3rd

Time: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Location: Prescott Courthouse Plaza (301 West Gurley Street)

Your dog will have a fun weekend in Prescott at this great annual evet. Enjoy live music, vendors, demonstrations, dog contests, children's activities, arts and crafts, raffles, dog obedience classes, and so much more! All proceeds from the event benefit animals in need.

 

 

Folk Arts Fair

Dates: Saturday, June 3rd - Sunday, June 4th

Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (daily)

Location: Sharlot Hall Museum (415 West Gurley Street)

Come discover the Prescott of the past with crafts, hands-on activities, demonstration, traditional music, reenactments and more at the 44th Annual Folk Arts Fair.

 

 

Antiques on the Square

Date: Sunday, June 4th

Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza (West Gurley Street)

Find incredible treasures for your home from over 70 antique and collectibles vendors.

Enjoy two days of Celtic fun in Prescott. With two full days, Saturday, May 13th and Sunday, May 14th, of activities planned by the Prescott Area Celtic Society, you and your family with have plenty to do! Join people from all over North America as they gather in Prescott to experience all things Celtic.

 

 

Between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, you will find tons of Celtic activities to watch and participate in. Swing by the stage for live music and Irish dance performances. Cheer on your favorites during the multiple competitions, including heavy athletics, highland dance, and pipe band. Watch incredible sheep herding dog demonstrations. Learn more about whiskey during the special tasting seminars. Pick up amazing Celtic merchandise and dine on delicious food all weekend long.

31st Annual Prescott Fine Arts & Wine Festival!

Mark your calendar for the 31st Annual Prescott Fine Arts & Wine Festival! Spend Mother’s Day weekend at Courthouse Square (120 South Cortez Street) for two days of spectacular art, delicious wine, and so much more. This FREE public event is taking place on Saturday, May 13th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, May 14th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

This annual festival presents the work of great local artists and crafters. Find some incredible pieces of art to decorate your Prescott area home! Along with art, the festival features wine from 10 of Arizona’s best vineyards and wineries. Wine tasting tickets are $12 and include a commemorative wine glass. The weekend also features a fantastic silent auction and delicious food from your favorite Prescott restaurants.

 

Proceeds from the event benefit the Mountain Artists Guild, a non-profit that supports the visual arts and artists in the Prescott area.
